What is New York City Local Law 26?
The aftermath of the 9/11 attacks caused The New York City Department of Buildings to enact Local Law 26 in relation to high-rise building safety. The markings, which involve the installation of Photoluminescent markings for all pathways, stairwells and doors improve the public's safety evacuation in the event of a power failure.
